Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced squad for upcoming Asiacup

 BCB has announced the 17-member squad for the Asia Cup after much drama.


For quite some time now, the two things that have been most talked about in the cricket circles of Bangladesh, one was Shakib Al Hasan's contract with Betwinner and the other was the announcement of the Asia Cup team. After much speculation and drama, BCB finally announced the squad for the Asia Cup today.


Shakib Al Hasan is supposedly leading the team. Along with that, Mahmudullah Riyad's captaincy of Bangladesh cricket came to an end. Shakib will lead the T20 team from the Asia Cup. This all-rounder got the Test captaincy last month.

Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu announced the 17-member squad for the Asia Cup, with 3 players placed on the standby list. Although these 3 men will not go to UAE with the team but they will be called if required.

Former captain Mahmudullah Riyad is in the announced squad injured Sohan has also been retained. Mushfiqur Rahim and Sabbir Rahman have returned to the team.
